Surface Pro 8 is designed to be the most modern expression of the purpose-built, class-defining Surface 2-in-1, now designed for Windows 11. Dave Mitchell, from the team that engineers and designs Surface 2-in-1s, gives an in-depth, hands-on tour of the Surface Pro 8, along with updates to the rest of the Surface 2-in-1 family.

Surface Pro 8 was completely redesigned inside and out for the next level of performance and productivity. Its 13" display combines tactile feedback enabled through Windows 11 and the Surface Slim Pen 2 with a 120Hz refresh rate to give the best Surface inking experience to date. It now has two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors. Commercial models now have the option of built-in LTE Advanced with Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 processors.

Beyond the updates to Surface Pro 8, we introduce updates to the rest of the Surface 2-in-1 lineup. Surface Go 3 has been updated to support Windows 11 with more powerful 10th Gen Intel Core i3 and Pentium processors. Surface Pro X is now available with a new WiFi-only option with Windows 11 on ARM, which now supports 64-bit emulation.

Truly loving all of these upgrades but really wish that Microsoft offered a trade in program similar to Samsung's.

This... is awesome. Now my Surface Pro 7 looks kinda old and I really hope that I get to have one of these.

About 50 percent faster CPU, 120 Herz, 16 hours of estimated battery life, thinner bezels, cool Pen and...

I just love it.

That's some impressive engineering, I've been eyeing a Surface device for a while, but this is the first one I'll probably get. The fact it's 120 hz is so nice.

Surface pro 2 fixed my back problems back in 2013 in college. Since I started college in 2011 I always wanted a device that would be touchscreen, work as a laptop, and as a tablet that I could take notes on at the same time. When I heard about the Surface Pro i got excited but was waiting for a newer version just because I'm always hesitant on buying the 1st model of anything. So once the pro 2 came out I bought it immediately. No more carrying notes books and heavy books around school anymore. I used to change the books and notebooks every day depending on the class I had that day. When I got the pro 2, that's all I needed to put in my backpack. The last year of my engineering degree I decided to get the pro 5, branded as just pro. The pro 2 did autocad no problems for what I needed it to do for my classes.

With the introduction of Thunderbolt 4 ports on the new Surface products I'm hoping to see an official Surface Dock with dedicated graphics from Nvidia. I'd love to see an elegant external GPU solution from Microsoft.

It's cool. As a previous surface pro7 user, I am happy to see the improvement of the thermal design. Pro7 is host while charging, since it is finless. Pro8 looks nice, and it might be the greatest change ever in the Pro line.

I use my surface pro 5 at work every day, and hadnt seen a compelling reason to upgrade. This is what I was waiting for. Thinderbolt, 120hz, and a removable SSD? Sign me up, Im super excited for these reviews to come out.

Already pre-ordered, this will be my fourth Surface (running the Pro 6 i7 at the moment). Terrific line of products, I have to admit I enjoy the envious glances when I'm using mine outside the office.

Excellent work on tis new iteration MS, looking forward to it!

Please make a first party eGPU dock for the Surface Pro 8! If you do I can finally use a single device for everything that I need!

How do we buy the commercial models to have built in LTE advanced for the i7 models?

I am bying the surface pro 8, and will move to surface X only when MS ARM chip is comparable to Apple M1 at performance levels.
Microsoft is back : GAFAM and not GAFA anymore ! Well played Satia .. and all MS team ! 🥂

Surface Pro will be 10 years this year, I hope Microsoft will give Surface Pro fans a discount to celebrate a decade of excellent Surface experience.

Fantastic video!
I'm still using the original surface pro 1 but really need to upgrade now. Was trying to wait for the redesigned macbook air coming next year but now after watching this video I think I'm going to grab this instead.
