Do Dental Probiotics ACTUALLY Work? 🤔

Показать описание
Dental probiotics are not to be confused with regular, gut probiotics! Dental or oral probiotics are different in that they help balance bacteria in your mouth opposed to your gut. Let's talk about whether or not you should consider trying them!

Do oral probiotics work? Yes, when paired with a great oral hygiene routine and regular dental cleanings. But not all dental probiotics and over-the-counter probiotic blends are the same. You’ll want to get a supplement that’s specifically targeted for oral biofilm in the form of a lozenge or chewable tablet. That way the right types of good bacteria have maximum contact time with your mouth. When used as directed, you’ll typically start to notice within a few days and full results in about a month. But no amount of supplements will ever take the place of physical plaque removal with brushing and flossing. If you have major concerns about an imbalance of oral bacteria or chronic halitosis, always talk to your dentist. There could be a bigger problem you don’t know about. Otherwise, using dental probiotics at home is completely safe as long as you’re following the proper dosage and instructions.

I started taking a dental probiotic (ProBioraPro) a few months ago, and the change it made in my gums was amazing! My gum pockets healed and are almost all 1s and 2s now! Definitely recommend for anyone struggling with Periodontal disease.

So glad I found your channel! I’m always scared of my dentist discovering new cavities when I visit. I’m now obsessed with my dental health, using your tips to make a nice routine (electric brush, tongue scraper, interdental brushes, flossing, anti-cavity mouthwash). After only two weeks, I can clearly see the benefits of this routine and my gums no longer bleed! Thank you for making these videos!

I actually just started taking probiotics both oral and for gut and within a few days I’ve noticed a change. I’m definitely going to keep it up seeing what it’s done for me so far 🤗

My oral probiotic is a capsule 🧐

You gave me motivation to go to a dentist. I was scared I had periodontitis because I havent been to a dentist in 17 years of my whole life and they told me I had gingivitis and to brush and take care of my teeth more. I'm now drinking lots of water and trying to learn how to floss. I might need the interdental brushes but still I'm doing good now. Thank you :)

Never had not one dentist ever mention about that their are prebiotic that help your gums .they only wanted to blame you that you didn't brush, floss or use mouth wash .oh plus I been given so much different advice for brushing techniques .I actually found out about those gum prebiotic on a you tube advertisement, and figured I'd give it a try .I say they work great cause when I been given antibiotics over the years to treat the flu or for diverticulitis attacks that will mess up your whole gut and gum microbiome

I'm glad you tackled this topic. I'm a huge proponent of brushing and flossing. However, you dont touch on the fact that toothpastes and mouthwash are also killing the good bacteria in your mouth. So, how is a good balance created?

I am concerned about the effects of chronic use of mouthwash, which has broad antibiotic effects, on beneficial oral bacteria.

Great video!!! I have another few video ideas/suggestions! A whole video dedicated to scaling in the presence of gingival inflammation! Since that's what I need!! Also could you talk about porcelin inlays? And the dangers of amalgam fillings and other non biocompatible fillings? I think that would help a lot of people!! Also everything that can be done for gum recession, like pinpoint surgery etc. Also, a video on TMJ, and your options?

Tysm again again for the great content!

does swishing/gargling with salt water help balance the good bacteria or just kill the bad bacteria?

It will be more helpful and effective if you actually tried it and you got a result that you can report personally about the products. Thank you for your time.

L-Reuteri comes from breast milk, it was popular to buy milk from the grocery store to feed childrens but possibly the worse idea. PLease have this connection between you and your child and breastfeed them.🙂

Thank you for addressing this topic. Along the same lines, do mouthwashes with CoQ10 support gum health?

probiotics in the morning, xylitol gum after meals, brush water floss n rinse at night. PEMF the gums every once in a while. Electrically enhanced remineralization every few months. Sounds like a plan.

I started making L. Reuteri yogurt for other reasons but the happy benefit has been the almost complete reduction in my gum inflammation and pain. Before this I had been brushing, flossing and oil pulling, swishing with turmeric water which was helping but the gum inflammation was still there at times.
