This is my first attempt at a one bag set-up for my new job. I’m very open to suggestions for different tool bags that might be better or different tools that I need. Let me know what you guys think!

I have a very simple comment. But one that I feel matters. I am a professional trim carpenter for over 30 years and the only tape measure that I will use is the Stanley fat max, it is the best ever, can take a beating and stay dead on. Face it they get dropped. Almost never fails me. I use them daily for about a year at a time before replacing. And they are not gimmicky, I don't need all the extra markers, I can read a tape. Nice video

As always a very good tool video. It looks like all those tools in the bag could way a little bit of weight picking all of them up in the tool bag. Keep up the great videos thank you.

What is the weight of the bag and tools. I carry a small hand saw and a couple of scraps of wood in the truck for quick get it done repairs, until a real fix can be completed, electrical multitool and and some sockets might be a good add. Weight constraints is always a consideration in my opinion. Good stuff.

I have a backpack and it’s trash stick with open top. veto is overpriced get husky rolling bag throw big stuff in it and then open the rolling bag lid and drop your tote bag inside. it’s a perfect setup so you don’t have to cary your tote and you gain a bin. I have the 14” rolling bag and a handbag I throw ontop of the rolling bag with the lid open. for your case maybe the 18” version would be better and keep the hercules bag.

Very complete bag! The Dewalt Demos and the Wera Chisil driver kinda overlap as maybe some of the pry bars do, to maybe cut some poundage? guessing it is north of 60#? Some of the Channel Locks / adjustable wrench combos also overlap in purpose

I'm just glad he's using it for organizing not carrying it.

What size knipex needle nose is that?? 8 inch? I’ve been slowly setting up my tool collection and got the 2000 series double dipped lineman’s and 8 inch angled cutters!! I got the regular Klein yellow needle nose and don’t like it and was thinking about returning it and getting the knipex needle nose!

I've been eyeballing the toughbuilt bags for my diverse/side hustle set up. They seem pretty nice. I have a few of their tool pouches and I like them.

Just discovered aerial totes.
Not big enough be a do it all bag but much more a I’m grabbing these tools and a couple of might need tools.
Just got the Milwaukee without outside pockets and love it. I’m climbing ladders a lot with caulking guns and tubes of sealant a spray bottle and rags.
I’ve been looking at bags a long time and bought quite a few that I was never really happy with. Milwaukee has one with outside pockets also there are Klein and bucket boss ones that look like good fits as task bags. Open tops and easy access, Very happy with the one I got I wish I could find in stores and check them out before buying. Almost got the Husky supply bag to try but always put it back as no way to put a shoulder strap on it and I needed a ladder bag
Anyway I did not know of them and wanted to share my discovery. Feel like I’m sharing that ice cream is good and somehow just never tried before.

Awesome video! I hit 2 estate sales this morning and only came out with a 6in crestoloy adjustable wrench. I don’t know how you hit all these jackpots! Do you go first thing Saturday morning?

I use the Milwaukee foldable hacksaw model 48-22-0305. Plus, you can use sawzall blades .

..bout every 9 months I dump my main (DeWalt DG5553) bag on the living room floor to replace & access what I’m packing between 3 buildings.. It mainly lives in my truck, but ⅓ of the time ..I’m lugging it up stairs & ladders. I’ve some locked up on-site tools, but have grabbed a hand-truck to roll that bag of mine around 🙂

Veto bags are definitely for people who can pass the cost on to their customers. As a DIYer I rock $25 off brand electrician totes for each of my trade bags. I don’t know if they would be durable in a long term professional setting but I like the form factor. It’s much better than having everything in my old massive 20” husky hard tote. That thing was a pain to carry. Now each bag I have is half the size and has a shoulder strap and there’s more room for specialized tools since I’m not bringing everything to every job.

God bless you too.

My problem is I can't have anything on the outside of the bag, and it has to be on my back.
And it always weighs, about 24lbs.
And it needs a GPS, locater on it.
-
I have to walk up to 15 miles a day, in the highest traffic, mortality rate area in the world, with the shittiest weather.
-
My scenarios are always changing.
And i get shot at, set on fire...quite often.
Lots of water, mud...black mold.
Rats, and rust...destroy everything.
If the civilians don't steal it, or blow it up first.
And sometimes, cops seize my gear and auction it off or keep it for themselves.
-
STL, THE GATEWAY TO HELL.
Sincerely...
The Battle Gnome.

Holy Smokes! That was a clown car of tools in one bag! Impressive.
Need a weight belt to carry that bag through a building. Haha

A great video, great tools but you made the same mistake I used to make. I bet that half of those tools could easily stay in the van. It is way too overkill to carry a workshop all day long. I invested in a tool box system which turned out to be my hight and my weight when stacked. I was so proud carrying them around. Than reality hit in my face and i went down to a bigger tote. And still had to downgrade as it was heavy too.
