Does the turkey ned to be upright? Can i just put a can of soda with a few holes in it and cook it in the oven horizontally, as usual?

Actually I doubt there's much in the way of burn off... Last few beer cans I did they remained with beer inside (didn't get too hot)
Something to think about... Could use ceramic or glass I guess

I wonder if the beer can logo chemicals harm you.  I am not a tree hugger or believer in global warming person.. Just have seen what happens to products when they burn in a fire.  I have seen beer butt chicken before and it is pretty cool idea.
