I definietly check out some of the games mentioned in the video, but I am suprised my taste differs so much from the community and the critics. Maybe I just dont know how to define indie-games. If you see a wrong entry on my list be free to correct it.

It may not have made the list, but if you're looking for a Castlevania/Dark Souls like indie game with a fantastic art style, music and atmosphere, you should really try out Hollow Knight!

Ori is NOT an 'indie' game. It was funded by Microsoft studios.

3:48 People keep using the word monochromatic to mean desaturated but it just means using one color. Oregon Trail would be an example of a monochromatic game (the version on Apple II E I believe, the one that only had green and black).

Ori and The Blind Forest is a masterpiece, I didn't even think it was considered an indie.

What Remains of Edith Finch is incredible. I cannot recommend it enough. I leaned back in my seat and felt uneasy while swinging, I laughed at the corny jokes of that dad to his daughter, I was sweating when I went to the basement, I felt a spectrum of emotions toward Edith's mom, and I cried at the end.

Undertale's character isn't a boy. The character is specifically design to be androgynous so you can't tell. You can ofc project your gender onto the character (that's the point), but Frisk is not specifically male or female.
