If youre spending 1k a month on your kid, you're doing something wrong.
As someone raised in poverty, and having raised 2 kids, children are as expensive as you want to make them.
Aside from health insurance, which, i pay for the entire family at a set rate, food is negligible. We buy clothes from costco and thrift stores. If you're spending 1k a month, youre shit with money.
