Dude! That's the first time, I had someone pray for me after a diy video. Continue to shine your light before men....Your floor installation channel is one of the best out there if not the top in my humble opinion. Thanks and...Amen!

Love that you like QuietWalk. It was the first pad I ever used back when I did my first house in the 90's. The reason was exactly what you said. I liked the density and sound deadening quality and the price.

Joe, your channel is by far the best I have viewed on flooring. Also, and possibly even more important, when you humbly but boldly profess faith and pray for us, that is powerful. You are being a light in this world, a world that needs men like you showing others the way…you are a blessing in many ways to many people. You inspire me brother. Thank you!

I’ve installed vinyl plank flooring with and without pads, and I can definitely see both sides. Using a pad does help with minor imperfections and moisture issues, which is crucial for concrete subfloors. However, I found that it can sometimes make the locking system less stable, especially with drop-lock designs.

I remember one project where the thicker pad caused some planks to pop apart, leading to a frustrating fix. Overall, if you choose a thinner pad, like 1.5 mm, it can create a balance between comfort and durability. Just be mindful of installation challenges!

Another great video Joe, I saved it for when I'm ready to replace my flooring. Always look forward to the prayer at the end. I hope you and your family have a blessed holiday!

Thank you so much. I work at Lowe’s flooring and I’ll translate your expertise to more people. I’ll tell them about this channel too. Thanks again

I installed a ton of angle to angle flooring and I think it's much better than the tap and lock. I find the best way to install it is to connect the ends together first and connect them together as a very long plank. I used the off cuts from my first row to lock the joints together (I think I got that idea from your videos). I did a 12 x 14 room by myself with no problems. Edit: This was the first room I did this way, but I had done several locking the individual planks together the way the instructions said and it was a royal pain.

Joe, great video! Thank you for the video and, more importantly, for the prayer. That really got to me, man. I don't know why, but it made my eyes start to leak. I've been going through a lot for a long time, and I keep wanting to give up and give in. But through the grace of God, I keep trudging along.

Thank you, brother.

Joe I'm just back years later to say thanks yet again for your videos. I laid laminate in most of my house with your videos and tips. You helped me get pro quality results DIY and any shortcomings in minor areas were from before I found your tip for that specific issue. Wishing you nothing but the best in 2024.
