What's Inside My Doula Bag

The most valuable things I bring to a birth are my knowledge, heart, and hands. But, I have a lot of fun things in my doula bag too. It has been referred to, lovingly and enthusiastically, as my Mary Poppins Bag! I have straws, massage tools, coffee, rebozo, tea, rice socks, nuun, and so much more. I also typically have garden knee pads in my bag as well.

Your doula bag looks amazing! I'm a doula myself-- and I live off of coffee as well. Best thing I've ever put in my doula bag? VIA instant packs from starbucks. All you need is hot water... and you have yourself a cup of coffee. It's a HUGE space saver for my bag so I'm not lugging around cans and weighing my body down while assisting my client into the labour room :)

Loved this video! As a newer doula it is definitely fun to learn from the experienced. One thing I have is re usable heat packs. Some hospitals don't allow microwave use for warming things and they are so handy to snap the little disk inside and have immediate heat. They last maybe 30-60 min and Then I boil them to re set them later.

OMG I love you! As a trainee/new doula, you are my new idol! I just want to offer one (most humble) suggestion, did you know that Bach flower remedies do ‘rescue remedy’ pastilles? They may replace your Gatorade pastilles?

Love this video, great tips on being there for momma and partner! Since you mentioned not liking packaging you should consider paper straws since plastic ones don't biodegrade!! Plastic silverware could be upgraded too, if you switched to paper or bamboo options. I love your energy in this, so contagious!
