for everyone who is struglling to find their mic on the input, go to preferencecs then audio IO and on the input change it to your mic thx me later

The audio instructions are missing a step: the video says "just by pressing R", you can start recording. Actually, pressing R only 'arms' recording. To actually begin recording, you need to press the circular button in the play-controls for the video. This can be seen in the video-recording, but it's very fast and easy to miss if you don't watch carefully.

For anyone who doesn't like hearing themselves as they record but doesn't want to constantly mute/unmute, you can change Fairlight -> Input Monitor Style -> Mute. This way you can still hear everything on playback

I was getting slight feedback in my recording. Saw elsewhere that muting [M] the Bus1 over to lower right prevents that. worked for me.

when I do it I patch my mic and computer together it doesn't pick up my voice? It's on stereo not mono can't get the option up on my MacBook Pro.

How do you get the section where it shows add audio? mine doesn't show that on the mixer when I had to hit the mixer button at the top right. (Free version, newest one)

Are there any settings to set the recording Bitrate, or does it just take the windows settings?

Not sure how your settings are different, but for me the R button is 'Arm for Recording' and I have to press the record button at the top. I don't get why this is a thing, but, here we are.
