Love love love how your voice is changed at the same time as you apply those changes which is so important to understand the process!

This video should be bookmarked and used by anyone who’s doing any kind of voice recording. Nice work!

Bro, there are many vids online covering the same ground but this is the apex in terms of combining visual clarity, *speed*, and salient detail. Much respect.

Dude, I no longer need to train my team. I just send them to you and make your videos required viewing for our editors. Haha thank you so much for making these videos so clearly and accurately!

After watching your video on EQ adjustments, and this one, I'm left wondering: when have I hit an annoying resonate frequency? I know it's different for every voice, but if you could spend some time explaining each frequency you adjust, why you don't like its sound, and what you're accomplishing by changing it (maybe with some back and forth examples), it would go a long way in helping those of us who are just getting into all of this. Thanks! Great stuff as always!

Found your channel by accident, and ended up spending the next few hours watching all your videos. You're one of the few people who actually shows what things do. Definite subscribe!

I have to say you have, by far, the best and most straightforward video I've seen on how to get a dry and professional voice sound. Thank you!

Not just for pro audio, this is helpful for live gaming streams. Especially if you have a budget mic that's too scratchy or boomy. The basics are the same. Great content again, Alex!

This is one of the best videos I've ever seen on this, and the most concise. Good visual representation too. Thanks!

I only use headset with microphone from Spreaker Studio Live Audience and I really like it and it was very great with acoustic karaoke.

So I've been working on my dialogue today and I used this video. AMAZING results. The side by side with what I had yesterday compared to today is like night and day. Thank you so much

So for order of filters...

1. Equalizer
2. Compressor
3. DeEsser
4. Limiter

Is that right? I always struggle with this. I seem to hear different advice from from different audio folks.

So far all I've been doing is using Adobe's "Vocal enhancer", this should definitely step it up. Thanks Alex.

Well presented and very informative. Alex Knickerbocker has made me really interested in sound and how it can be used so effectively in a video! Genius and thank-you!!

It’s so refreshing to watch someone who really knows what they’re talking about. Thank you so much, seriously 🙏 On that note, what are your thoughts on stylizing voiceovers, such as stereoizing with about 20% wet ping pong delay at ~2ms, or adding very light overdrive/distortion? Do you think it is ever appropriate?
