The filmography looks well done. It says it’s a take in the title so I’m not expecting it to be the exact same story as the original, plus this is a musical and I still haven’t seen the Broadway play. I just wish they would leave the classics alone and come up with new concepts but this looks promising along with the cast line up. Let’s hope they do it justice.

I got goosebumps, I can’t wait to see it. Yes, the 1st one was and still a classic, but we can push the envelope a bit further and have happier and fulfilling endings ❤

Not just for this, but for many of the black shows I grew up watching. I stopped watching some of these shows because the endings were sad.

This movie will be a shadow of its former self.
The woke community will not let a story like the original be told again as it hurts some people’s feelings and they can’t stand to be offended so this movie will be watered down so it doesn’t offend. The original movie was a true look into how racism was in America back in the day as well as how the black community treated themselves and how society was.
That movie stands up to the test of time and this one won’t
