This is a musical. I'm curious to see it just because Fantasia and Taraji are in it. But there is a local actress here, LaShon Hill, they should have tapped to play Sophia. She's the best ever Sophia in the Color Purple Stage Play!

Not sure about Fantasia acting. Singing, she is awesome. Even in the trailer she didn't say much - thank goodness for a stellar cast to carry her acting.
