this scene was when it hit home. the fact that thousands were now dead, and the decepticons were winning. and with the autobots nowhere in sight.

Definitely one of the strongest scenes in the movie

Regardless of what you think of the rest of the movie, can we all just agree that this scene was absolutely flawless?

"This is a national emergency broadcast Chicago has suffered a massive" I find it creepy that it just finishes there

Dark of the Moon will always be the true ending to this franchise

0:32: Sam's face really reflects just how devastating the situation is. Fear, sadness, and doubt with just enough determination to TRY to find her.

This is easily the darkest part of any Michael Bay film. It just feels so... hopeless.

I don’t care what everyone says about the transformers movies. Yeah they had many plot holes but man the first 3 was a solid trilogy with really amazing moments

This really is the best of all of the Michael Bay Transformers movies. They took some risks on this one with a MUCH darker tone for this film and this scene is a great example of direction done right. The emotions of desperation and hopelessness are conveyed to such a strong degree and I wish all of the Transformers movies (old and future) would have been taken in a more mature direction with quality cinematography similar to the feeling in this scene. I believe most of the population would appreciate being respected when it comes to our intellect and ability to understand complex emotions as opposed to being shown flashy and immature content that wastes our time. We need more depth, emotion, and "humanity" within our entertainment more than ever these days...

This scene was so deep! Like people running and crying. That dude standing on top of the car starring blankly. The radio and the guy screaming "wrong way get out of here" really got alien invasion (obviously) and terrorist attack vibes

This is a strong and sad scene as you see people running from their homes in fear for their lives while the decepticons slaughter millions and the autobots aren’t there to defend them the song goes perfectly with this scene

Scenes like this annoy me with Bay it shows you that he is capable of some very good work

If a war hit a city as big as this, the amount of devastation, people losing everything, children losing their parents, all this chaos, is surprisingly and sadly accurate

Everyone is saying how well these scenes were and how Michael Bay nailed it, but can we talk about how much impact Linkin Park managed to put into the song??? The atmosphere here wouldnt be remotly close to what it is without this great song! What a masterpiece they’ve made

With all the movies with "The End", "Apocalypse", "Extinction" in their titles, this is the only one with I really feel that concept
