Bought a 2019 white one used with 100 miles for $4k. Couldn't believe my luck. My favorite is to ride it in NYC on a Sunday morning. 6'2 and added a seat concepts TALL seat and now the bike is perfect. I rode it on my channel if you want to see it in NYC lol.... Thanks!

Apart from the content of your story, I must say that you're lucky to live and able to ride in such a nice area.

these bikes have gone from cult to mainstream imho because of people like you, itchyboots, nathanthepostman. real people putting real miles on the bike. not reviewed on a test ride from the dealer. i love my bullet 500 but i'm really jonesin' for a himalayan. love your enthusiasm for this bike. any issues with the early versions have been sorted and RE continues to go from strength to strength i hope they don't overthink things too much.

Hey Ol Man!! I totally love your videos. You completely sold me on the Himalayan. So much so I bought one and just took delivery on a 2021. I could not be happier!! At age 61 it has all the balls I need or want. Like you, I've had several bikes in the past but none were as fun as the Himalayan. I really think Royal Enfield owes you .some commissions!!!

Fuel economy is great. Someone mentioned that it's as if this thing is solar powered.
Great video and even greater enthusiasm. 👍

Hitchocks 2 inch up 1 inch back Risers, easy install no need to change cable lengths. Perfect for standing up and the 1 inch pull back allows for a more casual riding position.

You're right. I have a lot of motorbikes in the garage, the himalayan has become my favorite

Something that doesn't get talked about much in regard to motorcycles is *useable* power in a given situation.
Yes, for some people bragging-rights-down-the-pub or (in these extraordinary times) on the internet are important. A bike may, on paper, produce lots of power but how much are you actually using, or need?

The thing with the Himalayan is that it is designed to give good torque and power at low revs in a gentle manner so the wheels do not lose traction on a slippery surface. Similarly the brakes are also gentle. Not the pin-sharp brakes of a sports bike, but that is not what is required here. This may not sound very exciting to those who only ride on paved roads in warm weather but for an adventure bike they are highly desirable attributes.
So while other riders are gingerly paddling their bikes at less than walking pace I'm trundling along on my Himalayan (usually stood up on the pegs) at 35kph enjoying the "shushing" sound the tyres make in the snow :-)

Well you answered my question on this one. Im 6'1 230 was wondering if i would be comfortable on this bike for long trips. But low and behold you already had the answer. Thank you

Ronin, another really cool video and I`m sure I`m not the only person to really look forward to your videos, just to `be there` on the bike with you, while we are stuck in Lockdown in miserable, wet weather here in the UK. Love the analogy of a German Shepherd puppy with the throttle response. Keep doing it my friend.

Another great video. I hope to get the Himmy after this current UK 🇬🇧 lockdown.

Coming from many Beemer GSs I’m used to power at low revs, that’s why I got this instead of the KTM 390. I love the 3rd and 4th gear torque curves, so smooth. Thx for your great vids!

A torquy 500 with a 6sp gearbox where 1st and 2nd are close, and 6th is more of an overdrive.

Needs a DR650 engine in it for me, due to Euro-motorways. Wont be the same bike with the 650 twin motor, if that is the route RE take. I expect they will more likely do a scrambler version of the Interceptor. 35hp was enough for easy 70mph cruising on the XL500. It is what it is, and really, the best way to save on fuel is to slow down. Problem over here is trucks sitting on your tail at 110km/65mph, that little bit more shows why the CB500X is popular, though more time consuming to service.

The pre order has BEEN sold out on Hima from before it was even done being offered. However I have seen a few examples for sale in a dealer show room, ie Pitt Cycles in Warrendale, PA. I had my first servicing done there and can give them a thumbs up. I see where (in addition to the new color ways) MORE color choices are coming for the 2021 and a half version. I saw a pine green and a couple more options on line. Also the new navigation system sounds like it will be fitted to the Hima and the 650s too. I do like the sound of the navigation system, it loads from your phone info and stores it. If your phone dies, it rains, looses signal etc. you have backup.

Talking about a 500 cc motor on them I've got a 500 classic chrome and that motor and gear box ( 5 speed )would be great. I've got crash bars and a bash plate and I'm getting a sidecar put on it then I'll be able to go wherever I want . I'm very lucky living in South Australia as the riding season is 52 weeks of the year and a cold winter's day is about 15c. The Enfield's aren't for speed they are for smiles ( for speed I have a 1982 VF 750 Honda Magna ).
