In my screening the first time I saw it, nobody laughed. It was just very somber and Ominous.

Apparently some people think its funny, but in that moment in Thor's voice, you can hear his mourning and guilt he feels on himself and its just-

I'll admit, I'm one of those asshats that laughed at Thor's line (blame those damned MEMES!) but the more I think about it, it's kinda a sorrowful moment.

The way Thor said it clearly speaks in volumes how Thanos, his carelessness and the decimation have been haunting him.

I'm actually genuinely angry that people found it funny just because Thor has become a more comedic character. It was a genuinely ominous moment and people laughed as if it was intended to be a joke.

I was laughing in shock in this scene... like they were on a dead end and then thor killed him and said i went for the head he couldnt take it anyomore... he killed him without thinking

One of the most tense and shocking scenes of where you don’t know where the movie is going next and these people are laughing

The audience found it funny but honestly this scene is very sad. For 3 weeks that line repeated itself in Thors head. How his arrogance and wanting so bad to rub it in Thanos' face cost half the universe. I wish they would've kept the slightly older Thanos alive, if nothing else to have him come back at the end. Have him talk to his 2014 self who planned to start the universe anew and to show how far he went after learning of his own death, have HIM kill older Thanos.


Thanos was never a savior. He had a messiah complex and just wanted desperately to be proven right. Even if he has to force the outcome that he said would happen naturally. He said for all of IW the universe would balance itself out after what he did, and if we're going by his logic, it did. The Avengers were the universe's way of restoring balance by correcting what he did. Having older Thanos perhaps realize that over the 5 year span that everyone was gone would've been a nice redemption arc of sorts.

I remember when i first saw Endgame, the entire theater laughed and cheered when Thor said "I went for the head."

This really was the saddest part. Thors arogence against thanos for revenge killed 1/2 of all life. In his rage and realization that thanos won he slices the head knowing, he failed

Me - Honestly, despite how Thanos has children that Really hate him, you have to give him credit when his kids still have emotional attachment to a crazy dad, especially when they still cry as Thanos died.
