Because why do you need to take it out from your pocket every time? That’s the point of KEYLESS system not to touch your keys… It should be in your pocket or in a bag 🙃😉

Yeah! It'd be great to have a hole for the key like in the steering column! So you don't have to use space near the gear level that can be use for storage.
Same with modern motorcycles. There's the start button looking *as if it used to be a ignition key hole* that'd be great to put your keyfob into... I it had the hole back!!!

I just leave mine in my pocket, they have to stop making the keys the size of a phone.
