I do believe that Lying can be an Addiction. And from there it goes into other addictions.

Awful… it’s been going on for years … the last time is the last time … I confronted her again deny deny deny… I’ll never speak to her again and I’m removing her from our estate plan leaving her $100.00 …with a four page list of valuable antiques and cash stolen from wallets etc…

I can’t believe I’m on this site. My son stole $30, 000 from me. I’ve been keeping a secret for two years. The police wanted me to press charges because my bank wouldn’t reimburse me. So I took the loss I can’t believe I can

What do you do when your disrespectful adult daughter lives in your home, she has stage 4 cancer, you've been taking care of her, paying for everything, and you know she stole $500 cash from your wallet and used your credit cards secretly, but you don't have proof? I don't even want to hear her voice any more, but I feel I'm trapped taking care of her until she is healthy. Even then, I know she will still want to live here to continue leaching off me using every excuse she can conjure up. Ugh.

My son 320 out of my purse. I can actually prove it yet he is still lying about it. He is 21 with a part time job and ssi money so its not like he doesbt get his own money. We live with my mom atm and she is very enabling to him so im at a loss broken hearted and upset. My only recourse is to get out of this living situation which isbt going to happen soon enough. I honestly want to call the cops on him but my mother is very against it and i somehow have to survive this til i can move out.

You made several great points. We never dreamed this would happen to us. Our daughter has been on a destructive path and stole thousands from our bank account to pay off a credit card. She lives many states away from us, but my husband and I are considering charging her if this would deter her from doing this to someone else.

A widowed father who found love asked his daughters to move out 3 years after his wife died of cancer. I am his new love. He felt he had to evict his two adult daughters both in their 30s from their Jackson, Michigan family home because they became verbally abusive and refused to leave for many months. He works full time and was still paying for everything even though the girls both worked. During the eviction period he was advised by his attorney to stay away until they left. He even had to forward his mail because they refused to give it to him when he asked them for it. Following the last day of the eviction he found everything gone from the home garage and barn. A lifetime of tools, personal items, home paperwork, appliances, pictures, indoor/outdoor furnitures, shelving, doors, snowmobile, all equipment ..”everything” had been removed. Nothing but garbage and a huge mess was left. He filed a claim with his insurance company but found that because his adult daughters were considered insured his claim will probably be denied. He was advised by his attorney to report the loss to his local police which he did the first day. The missing items totaled approximately $30, 000. His daughters left a “sharp” note in the garage debris which basically said enjoy your new life, sorry about the mess, never speak to us again. He is devastated. He wants to file charges against them. Do you have any advise.
