PS4:
dynamic 1080p at 30fps (common 720p)
59,42Gb

PS4 Pro:
Dynamic 1224p at 30fps (common 1080p)
59,42Gb

PS5:
Performance Mode: Dynamic 2160p at 60fps (common 1440p)
Ray-Tracing Mode: Dynamic 2160p at 30fps (common 1440p)
56,10Gb

- According to the official note from CD Projekt, Cyberpunk runs at dynamic 4K on PS5. However, in all tested areas its resolution is 1440p.
- The game has been adapted to the PS5 architecture, reducing its size by half and improving loading times.
- The most notable improvement is in the general shadows and lighting.
- Ray-tracing mode adds contact shadows and enhances others. Ray-tracing does not apply to reflections or global illumination.
- The pop-in has improved considerably on PS5, but it is still present in certain elements (especially when we use a vehicle).
- There is a texture improvement on certain elements.
- In general, a more solid game feels on all platforms.
- There is an increase in draw distance and anisotropic filtering on PS5.
- PS5 now has more NPCs on screen.
- Full Dualsense compatibility has been added.
- The framerate in both modes is practically perfect during gameplay (with occasional drops in some cinematics or loads). PS4 still has some performance issues.
- Cyberpunk 1.5 is what the release version should have been over a year ago. If it had come out in these conditions, the history of Cyberpunk would have been very different.

IMPORTANTE:

IMPORTANT:
The PS4 version is having quite a few issues with the 1.5 update. In some cases, the patch is not applied correctly, showing irregular quality or performance, crashes or even data corruption making it impossible to start the game. I don't recommend installing patch 1.5 on PS4 until CD Projekt fixes it.

Wow, even base PS4 version looks playable now. That's genuinly impressive considering how terrible it was on the start.

They fixed the crappy TAA blurring that happened on all systems, the new TAA sharpening makes even 1080p look crispy, that was a good change right there IMO, always hate TAA blurring effects

Thanks for getting this comparison out so quickly!! I really wish developers would do RT Global Illumination instead of shadows. It makes a far better visual impact and isn't as demanding as RT reflections.

I can confirm the game looks phenomenal now in both performance and ray tracing mode in both PS5 and SX.

I'm actually impressed with the base PS4 FPS compared to what it was. If the game had launched this way it might have been a whole different story. The PS5 looks like a whole generation on in most places as it should. It's always more satisfying to see obvious improvements when so often there's little in it to really compare.

RT mode looks pretty underwhelming at the moment. A small improvement in local shadows doesn't seem worth the framerate cut. Maybe they should have implemented a 4K30 resolution mode instead. Hope they can improve it with future patches, but I'd stick with the performance mode for now.

I think NPCs count is one of the most noticeable and beneficial upgrade that I can see.

RT mode doesn't look that much different honestly, I think when I get this game it's gonna be performance mode for me.

Wow, that was fast.

They've done an excellent job on the PS5 and Xbox Series X and the PS4 Pro is "okay" all things considered, but I really don't recommend playing it on the base PS4.

The game is cool, it has a good gameplay and a fun plot, I recommend it to anyone to give it at least a chance.

I have not played since December 2020 even tho i have had series x since then. Now finally im going to give it another shot with next gen patch and all the fixes. This one has to be one of biggest gaming disappointments of all time for me. Even with fixes i dont think it is what it was supposed to be but maybe its good enough for playthrough
