Myths of vampires goes back much further. You can find them In Egyptian Mythology and further into Greek, Babylonian and Mesopotamia. Along with mermaids, witches, and spirits, vampires are one of the oldest mythical creatures found in every spot of this earth with little to dramatic change.

The 1700 version of them are still quite fresh if you really think about how old their existence has been around. Tales of them change here and there but it’s still the same creature.
