It’s sad I’ll never get to see them live. Just now really got into them. I can only hope Tom wants to tour again.

Actually Lombardo left Slayer for second time in 2013, to the final days of the band Paul Bostaph was a drummer.

Since 1995 I only missed one show here in Dallas. I saw their farewell concert and it was glorious. One of the best nights of my life.

I got to see them in 2018, in the middle of an air quality crisis, they got on stage, mentioned the air quality warnings and how it was recommended to them not to do any pyrotechnics for their set, and they were like “so we’re gonna do it anyway” and started shooting fire into the sky 😂

Seasons in the Abyss was, no doubt in my mind, their greatest of all. That is an amazing piece of art in every conceivable way. Reign / South yep. But Seasons... That was also their "black album". Everybody 50 and under, at the time, heard at least one song from it at least once. I still get chills thinking about it.

"Look... I can praise, Only old heads know what I'm talking about. Also wanna say RIP to J.H.🙌..who's coolest feature next to his customized Heineken/Henneman guitar was that single DK sticker on his original axe. 🤘😎🩼

I love Lombardo. He got robbed as he didn't get paid enough.

The ambassador theatre in Dublin, June '05 for me was their most memorable show. All 4 original members and everyone on point with their performance. I also think World Painted Blood is the best album they did since Seasons, in fact it's one of their best albums overall and very underrated.

Was lucky to see them 8 times. My favorite metal band ever.
Lombardo best metal drummer of all time.

It seems wrong to summarize such an amazing legacy so quickly.

JOHN DETTE was in the band in 1992-94 (He also played on the tour in 1996 for Undisputed Attitude) My dad has a photo with the band when he met them on that tour with John Dette in the photo. He had the sides of his head shaved/waist length on top at the time.
