I love how Yoriichi and Kokushibo both had things the other wanted; Yoriichi had strength but wanted a family while Kokushibo had a family but wanted to become stronger

Despite his brother hating his guts he still carried that flute that his brother had made him long ago holding it to his heart.
His brother finally realized how much Yoriichi loved him and now he was gone.

So, the dude almost killed the demon boss who was unbeatable before this encounter, taught other slayers to be stronger, and taught them how to use breathing technics but they kicked him out and advised him to kill himself because his brother betrayed them. Yeah, accurate storytelling, very reasonable, very wise.

In the end, the Rengoku’s ancestor remains as one of his first and loyal companions, even when others shunned him.
