DUFFEL BAG MADE FROM CAR PARTS? The Eagle Creek Migrate 40L

Eagle Creek is known for making great adventure bags, suitcases, rollers, packing cubes and accessories but what about using old car parts?

They sent me their new Migrate 40L duffle which utilizes RECYCLED WINDSHIELDS from cars sitting in Asian landfills to coat the 900 D heavy-duty TPU upper part of the bag making the material waterproof and extra durable.

Lots to love about this bag so watch the video for all the details and make sure to subscribe and follow along for more travel-related reviews.

The plastic fabric thing is essentially pul-- the plastic is laminated with the fabric. So while it's not 100% waterproof, it is extremely water resistant.

I love what they stand for! I love that they’ll fix the bag instead of throwing it away!

Eagle Creek says these bags hold 40L, but the specs say the size is 10.25" x 18.5" x 9.5" which should be 29.52L. How'd they get 40L out of those dimensions?

That is so cool, how they use the windshield plastic ! less plastic pollution. I love this bag, from the semi shiny material to the outrageous colors : Orange with blue handles and pink zippers ! I, too, have a thing for duffels, I don't know why, but I'm adding this one to my collection .

Blue clip to blue clip, pink clip to pink clip...brilliant for idiots like me! Also love the ability to turn it into a back pack. How much does it weigh empty?

PSA: Do not slide your bag under the bed in a hotel. That's where the bedbugs hide!
Make sure to store your bag as far from the bed as possible.

How do you find the backpack carry when the duffel's packed a bit heavy? That's my biggest question about both this and the Cargo Hauler tbh. I'll be getting one or the other, I just can't decide which! The Migrate is made of somewhat sturdier fabric, but the CH has two pockets and packs down so neatly - kind of important for me since I'm looking for a duffle that I can carry in my backpack or suitcase when not in use. How well they work as backpacks will probably be the deciding factor for me..
