Tip: the Mantis Blade in Gelmir Hero's can be obtained much more easily just by dropping past the middle of first lava ramp to your right (left if facing upwards) and have your fall stopped by the wooden beams below; the enemy with the blade will be just below your position. This same path will also enable you to drop onto the chariot and be transported down the ramp, right to the stairs leading to the area boss.

Fun tip for those doing the Auiza Hero's Grave for the Ordovis' Greatsword. If you follow the path shown in the video up to where you see the runes shown on the ground (the right-side tunnel where the 2 chariots are racing back and forth on), a bit of a glitch has been found that, if you use Margit's Shackle in that spot, it triggers something nearby that ultimately will destroy all of the chariots. Now the dungeon is MUCH easier. You're welcome.

On a side-note, I was considering running the Warhawk's Talon at one point during my game early on when studying weapons and almost went for it. If you're looking to run a high-DEX build and don't want to follow every other Katana build, this is one of the best DEX-scaling straight swords in the game.

A note coming from someone doing a torch run, the ghostflame torch is the only torch you can put ashes of war on, so it has some really cool utility

For those of you that find the Serpentbone Blade katana to be underwhelming - do note that it inflicts *deadly* poison.

While only mentioned in the text description, deadly poison deals much more damage and has a shorter duration than regular poison.
Deadly poison will not stack with regular poison but can still be applied alongside scarlet rot for some very strong damage over time.
This special poison is also found on the claw weapon "Venomous Fang" which is also a very fast way of applying said poison.

Don't count out this katana just because it doesn't bleed, it's still doing a lot of damage for me in NG+4.
A poison version of corpse piler would have been nice, but this is still a solid weapon choice!

Can vouch for the warhawk's talon, been dual wielding those since release. Just farmed em from the 4birds by the Rampart Tower grace site (as mentioned in the video) bhs on main hand with seppuku on off hand, both blood infused, is fun (imo) especially if you're staying aggressive with proper stamina maintenance and spacing

there is a really cool flail in the sage's cave. It's not the most powerful flail but its probably the most unique. It's balls are in the shape of heads it scales in INT and it has a unique skill that sends out spirits.

3:31 you showed the jellyfish shield stats not the Visage shield stats. Also Godslayer sword. Its AMAZING and I have only seen two other people using it, and one of them is my mimic tear.

actually in the gelmir's hero cave, in the area where you kill the guy who drops the mantis sword. you can drop in the ledge somewhere with the item, and around the corner therell be a room with a guy and another item. Kill the dud and they drop the bloodhound item set and then you can pick up another armor set! i forgot what it was called

edit: it was the Gelmir Knight armor set!

The first weapons i applied bleed to when the game dropped was warhawk talon and the blood buildup is higher than most bleed weapons i still use it as a back up for the R2 attack to catch bloodhound step users in pvp it has incredible reach for a short sword and people tend to underestimate it which is why it works so well.

Yea the mantis blade is pretty much the only Bloodborne-ish weapon ingame to my knowledge. Love seeing these videos everyday, this game is so deeply vast I love it. Did anyone know that solving the painter quest in Lyndell gives you a spell called Fire's deadly sin. If you use this buff with the blood weapon incantation, you can burn bleed enemies just by making contact with them. You don't have to attack just touch them with the fire, I think it spreads. I gotta try this with Black fire weapon!

The torch is my personal side piece on my sword mage, half elden bling, and at +25 (yes I maxed a torch) it deals about 600 which for a torch is nice and pairs nice with the death poker

Dunno if anyone would care to know but I just collected all 32 Crystal Tears for the Flask. Yes you can go down the list on the Wiki like I did but I would appreciate a comprehensive guide. Most are just "kill boss at minor tree" but some are literal hidden gems.
