Bro imagine you're running a marathon. tired, sweaty.. you feel like you've put everything you can into the race and you're nearing the finishline, heart pounding you hear the cheering, you lift your head to gaze upon the crowd and get emotional about the triumph you're about to accomplish... and then you see a duck pitter-patter across the line. you've been beaten in a marathon by a duck. duck wins.

Wrinkle was so nice that she let other people go ahead of her to feel good despite her clearly being the fastest.

People gotta realise that animals give so much positive therapy. Having a strong bond with a pet, or even being surrounded by nature, improves our mental wellbeing. The smiles and joy from people just by seeing your duck is great. A little wild Pied Wagtail, who became habituated with me, to the point i could near enough hand feed it, certainly helped my positive vibes through my fight with leukaemia some years back

The funniest part is Wrinkle got excited by all the energy and by the finish line, while very tired, she couldn’t stop smiling and chatting with everyone. What a special animal. Truly one of the flock

I love how Wrinkle and her humans have become part of the emotional support crew for the marathon. This is too cute but so effective. Anyone who passed that duck and her team immediately felt happier and got a “boost”.
