Well, I like aged white tea the most. Some can be fruity - like your Gongmei brick (or chocolate bar pressed :) ). Actually I will brew it as I get home because I got a taste for it now. However there are tastes that I appreciate much more like nougat, white chocolate and hints of alcohol like an Irish cream liqueur. Dried fruits on the background with hay and overall the warm feeling of dry meadow in the late summer sunny day. Yes, there can be honey as well and sometimes the white tea can surprise you with something new. I also tried Malawi Zomba pearls white tea from Africa and it was really good. It tastes more like Quimen Qimei :) so the processing is slightly different, but with the great result anyway.

I believe I've had an opportunity to try this 2017 Bai Hao Yin Zhen, and I liked it very much. Even the leftover few grams, after spending almost a year in a tiny sample bag, didn't loose the aroma. For me, dry leaves smelled of cocoa butter and no one will tell me otherwise ;) I can't make comparison as it was the only Yin Zhen experience of mine, but lately I've tried a super-early-picked green bud tea - I think it was Mengding Maojian (the shop called it just Mengding Sichuan) and I can say I've finally met an example of this "exquisite sweet water" level of tea subtelty, and I think my palate is not quite there yet ;) Interestingly, the leaves themselves smelled very strongly, fruity-jammy, exactly like an orange jelly layer from a Jaffa-Cakes-like cookies I was eating years ago. It was weird, but at least now I believe a bit more that those fancy tasting notes of Don from Mei Leaf are not made up :)

What do you mean by "fake Yin Zhen"? I don't understand what there is to fake.
