Why Anakin Stayed on the Dark Side After Padmé Died

In this video, we explore why Darth Vader stayed with The Empire after Padmé died, despite her being the primary catalyst for his initial turn to the dark side.

It's even more apparent after watching The Clone Wars. Padme was the massive, final anvil that broke the camel's back, but another big one was what happened to Ahsoka. Her callous mistreatment at the hands of the Council in her hour of need, all to appease the Senate, was proof to Anakin that the Council couldn't be relied on to do the right thing when push came to shove. This, along with all the of the other reasons you listed, gives rise to a better question: "Why would Anakin want to go back?"

Wow! What a terrific video! I enjoy all of your postings, but this is my favorite in quite a while. Anakin truly was the chosen one, but it doesn’t seem to me he really had a fair chance to stay on the light side, as his life presented too many challenges he simply couldn’t overcome……
