Junji Ito is a wholesome human being in interviews that just so happens to create stories out of 3am intrusive thoughts (that's my theory at least)

This is the first Junji Ito story that I read. Usually, I don't get scared by Horror story but this one does. It's scary and creepy. It truly captures the feeling of horror. But that what makes it's good. Junji Ito is truly a great mangaka.

So i was searching for this to read it myself i actually found out junji ito didn't made this story is actually originated from the Japanese author and critic Edogawa Ranpo who's actually play a big role of the development of Japanese horror and thriller and a character in bungo stray dogs is after him and those who want to read the original the name is the same

This is actually a story created by a very famous writer of thriller and mystery, Edogawa Rampo. The manga was partially based on “The human chair”, reimagined by Junji Ito, the original story is totally worth a read.
(Edogawa Rampo is another half that inspired the name of the anime character, Edogawa Conan)

That's not even the end. This story is actually narrated by a boy to a girl, and the boy is the son of the man that lived in the chair. At the end, that same girl gets a chair delivered to her that she never ordered

I used to be paranoid as a kid that murderers were living in the space under our couch. This Manga has reawaken that fear, I love it.
