As someone who is rocking the 3060 Ti, I gotta say: The 4060 Ti is helping the 3060 Ti age like fine wine. I know it may only have 8GB of VRAM, but for what I do, that is more than adequate!

in another timeline this thing would've been fantastic as a 3050 replacement at $249

It's kinda crazy, how It's mostly less than a 10 percent improvement

Interesting to see that there are some outliers, but that card is very weak as a generational upgrade

Im lucky enough to have a 3060Ti FE and flippin' love it. Given the difference (or lack of) in performance it would be a difficult justification to "upgrade" to the 4060ti. Still nice to see it on the market though, will be of interest to some folk out there. Great video as always, thanks dude.

This generation is feeling like Nvidia's Kaby Lake moment.

I'm not sure if someone has already mentioned it, but in Fortnite there is a "replay" feature that allows you to save recordings of a match. So, you can try using that to play, save, and check recordings with different graphics settings, GPU, CPU, etc., in order to compare them in (almost) equal scenarios.

Hope this helps, and excuse me for any mistakes in my English as I am not a native speaker.

Btw, nice video!

If you fought tooth and nail (and over paid) to get a 3060 ti you are going to be keeping a hold of it for a long time yet. Even more so if you are gaming at 1080p.

Wow, that's a pretty lack luster improvement in frames for a new generation of cards

Picked up a 3060 Ti on the used market. Amazing piece of hardware, still blows me away as someone who was stuck on an RX 570 through the dark days.

I'm happy with my 3060Ti, I'm a 1080p gamer scrub, and I haven't had any problems with any modern games on max settings just yet.

I have a Colorful brand GTX 750Ti, which in its day was a brilliant card, but what made the Colorful unique was that on the back of the card, it had a turbo button. I remember having to use MSI afterburner to tell if the button was on, it did make a difference, about 10-15%, it was a fairly mild overclock that didn't really affect temperature or reliability, but it also didn't make enough of a difference so that you could easily tell it was on. That reminds me of the difference between these cards, the difference is that I didn't have to pay $400USD for the barely distinguishable difference, I also didn't have to open my case and replace the card to use the button.

A mild overclock of the 3060ti would probably get better performance than the stock 4060ti, with no serious difference in temps or reliability. I suspect that 4060 non ti will be a harder sell than this though, as it will most accurately be compared to the 12GB model, which won't choke on recent AAA titles.

Just sold my 3060 Ti today for £220. The guy bought a bargain compared to the 4060 Ti.

If they had named the 4060 ti as a 4050 ti and priced it at $250, it would've been an amazing card

Nvidia is keeping the VRAM low on mid-range 40-series cards because they want people to buy either the high-end cards or the workstation/server cards for AI training. With the larger amount of VRAM, the RTX3060 was actually great for AI training since it can fit bigger models into memory, diverting sales away from more expensive cards like the RTX A2000 12GB. They learned their lesson and so we all end up with 8GB of VRAM.

this seems like comparing two apples that are exactly alike i think the ones who got 3060ti must be happy seeing this that they dont need to upgrade XD !
