Can you show some footage of the weight “giggling” at the proper rate? I’m a new canner and just don’t know when it is going too much or too little...

How do you test or know when the pressure gauge needs to be replaced?

Do you put any oil around the rim. Since it doesn’t have a seal?

Can you please demonstrate how to lubricate the rim and how often it should be done?

Could you do either a video or a live on the complete canning process? I know there are videos, but with all the cut outs and edits, I havent seen how or whats normal for jiggling (how much is too much), and it scares the crap out of me lol. I got an all american medium size for Christmas, and it is still sitting here cause i really dont know how to use it fully

Any tips for leveling out the lid before you screw it down that's where I struggled the most

Hi Linda, we can’t get canners direct in the U.K. & have to buy and ship them from the US which is very expensive. Someone told me you can “steam” can in a “One Pot” which I bought last year, but it has to be citrus based products not meat etc. Do you know if this is correct ? Thank you so much for all your videos, I’ve learned so much from you (starting with buying a dehydrator!) & Sutton’s days and friends in the collaboration.

Good morning Linda. I'm a long-time canner, mostly using a gas stove. I recently bought a 921 All American but haven't used it yet. I moved 3 years ago and my home has a Samsung range with glass top. Please tell me everything you can about using the All American on glass or ceramic top stoves. Also, could I can with it on the gas burner of my outdoor grill??? Thanks so much!

I have been drooling on the All American... I have 2 Presto already because they are more readily available in Canada but... it is not recommended to use the Presto on an outdoor gas grill. I heard that it is not the case with the All American. I also have to keep in mind that there is no way to calibrate the pressure gages here.
So my big dilema is... what's true for the outddor gas grill (camp chef for me) and if I use 2 Presto what size would be most cost/time efficient in All american? Thanks for bringing that subject on the table... I love it.

I have 2 questions. I have 3 used AA canners, I had all 3 gauges tested at my local extension office and everything is good there. They all had petcocks, I replaced one with a vent pipe and weight and a new gauge. I plan to experiment with the others to see how the petcocks work vs the weight. My first question is regarding the safety valve (?). It's a metal bolt looking thing that doesn't seem to want to come off so I didn't change it out to the rubber vent.
Question 2. I cleaned and buffed the outside, which looks much better than when I got it, but is there anyway to refurbish them to the beautiful finish like the new ones?

I have the 921 and just got the 915 and I'm a very new at pressure canning. Where I live I'm supposed to use the 15lb weight or dial to 12. I always try to get the 15 lb to jiggle but then the dial gets up to really high levels above the 12. Is it OK to have the dial go up to 15/16 in order to get the weight to jiggle? When I called All American help line they said just to go by the dial to the 12lbs pressure or put on the 10lb weight and listen to it go all the time. That didn't really make sense to me. Thoughts??

I got my All American 921 canner in November 2020. I have only used it 4 times. My issue is that I can’t get the lid off once the processing is done. It’s says in trouble shooting in the manual to gently use a flat screwdriver on an angle where it is tightened down and lift it up which it does. I used Vaseline where it’s supposed to be each time before processing and I don’t know if this is normaI for a canner to break it in. I did read one person had to do this for 10 times before it stopped locking the lid down. Is this normal or should I call All American?

I ran my new AA for the first time yesterday. The concern I had was equal level of gap around the lid. I first screwed down the lid using the opposing side method but found that it came out uneven. My husband, who has more experience using this kind of equipment helped even out the gaps before we got it going. Can you address this?

I have a new All American canner 921. I’ve used it about 5 times now. On the initial water test, I had a little leak on the back side of the canner, but I figured I just didn’t have the lid on completely level. This last time, I checked the lid for levelness, seemed good, but towards the end of the processing time, I sprung a leak on the backside in the same spot again. Is this something that just happens and not to worry, or do I have a problem with my canner? I videotaped the leak in case you wanted to see it.

I have the 915 model and love it! It is top quality! What do you use to lift up on the lid if suction gets it stuck? I don't want to harm the canner in any way. My canner is new, have used it I think 3 times, I read that it was common for this to occur when new. Thanks Linda!

I do have a question, when I grease up my AA, and only after I do that, while it is in the building pressure mode there is a loud pop it does. I mean like jar busting fear pop. Only does it after I grease her around the rims. Is there a reason or should that be an issue I should look further into, I know I have heard others mention the same thing. The jars are perfect, no running out of water or jars broken, or siphoning has been detected. Also why does it take my AA so long to come off of pressure, I have both a AA and my Presto The Presto can do rings around the AA. I love them both. Hessy the AA and Hissy the Presto.

I have a question, How often do you have to get the gage tested if at all.
