Arriving at Left Tailrace Campground, Big Bend Dam

During our drive through South Dakota we wanted to camp out at the Left Tailrace campground located in Fort Thompson at the Big Bend Dam. This is a big and beautiful campground located on the tailgaters of the dam along the Missouri River,. This place is pretty vast with lots of open areas, fishing and boat ramps. It's pretty remote and we loved being here!

Our Amazon Affiliates storefront has many of the useful RV tools, equipment and supplies that we use ourselves. Buying on Amazon through this link helps support our channel. Thank you!

Time for those "Shell No Pest Strips". Popular in the 60's and 70's.

Ok didn't think I would be a fan of the A Bomb travel Channel, I have been an ABomb fan since following Adam's blog on Practial Machinest and every video he has made, his fluent writing and video talents have certainly flowed to the adventure Channel and to top the cake having his wonderful partner Abby hosting along side with her love for adventure Cleary showing I'm hooked guess I will be spending this rainy PNW day binge watching the travels, maybe someday you will make it to Oregon an we could have lunch. 🍻

I just finished watching the final of the Kubota cylinders repair. Have fun you guys. South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana have so much history. I love living it this area of the United States.

The haze is from the fires out in Wyoming and Montana. The sunsets have been red all summer here on the edge of the Black Hills. 👍👍👍

Try blending a Kentucky bourbon barrel Coffee Stout and a McKenzie's Dark Cherry Cider one to one. So good. Like a chocolate covered cherry

when we go camping when there's no water hook up we can use about 2 to 3 showers with the water on board in the tank.

You two should take a trip to the highlands of Scotland and hire a smaller RV.

I've been to this dam before. Confronted by security that asked me to delete the pictures from my camera lol. There is also a really nice Indian museum in town.

Your gonna love the badlands Adam. My daughter and I were saying it looks like a different world looking over the badlands. Don’t forget to stop along they way to watch the prairie dogs. They are cute and fun to watch. I sure hope you guys get a chance to make it to Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. I really enjoyed that trip for sure. Thanks for sharing experience Adam and Abby

Thoufgt I saw a bird fall out the sky from exhaustion looking for a tree to land in. That really is beautiful country there in our bread basket. I’m a old farm boy and if you can’t grow corn and ragweed then I don’t want to be there for very long.
