Badlands National Park

Badlands is our first National Park visit on our Big Haul 2021! What a wonderful and beautiful place! We got in the park early and enjoyed the drive through with very little traffic. The day was perfect with cool air, blue Skys, and little haze. We saw a lot go wildlife here, more so here than in any other park we've been to. Big horn sheep, deer, prairie dogs, and Buffalo! The majestic shapes and formations of the hills here offer up something special for visitors. It truly is an amazing place to see and experience. We loved our visit to the Badlands!

Hi Adam and Abby, just wanted you to know that my husband and I ate at the ROUND THE BEND STEAK HOUSE the other day and we had Allie for our waitress also. We took the Sagecreek Rim Road (dirt road) all the way around the park, fed the prairie dogs, saw buffalo and then went back at night to see the stars. OMG that was the most amazing site - to look up and see thousands of stars - I've never seen that many in my life. You can even see the Milky Way. Talk about quiet....it was so very dark and scary quiet -but that sky was unbelievable. Truly magical.

Man o man those views never disappoint! The Bighorns were close Abby!! You guys had the whole park to yourselves almost!! The Badlands are definitely otherworldly!

The national parks are one of the best ideas America started and spread to the world. Similar reservations existed in many countries prior to Yellowstone but it was the first formal national park in the world.

Ya'll are stompin' some of the same grounds that my beautiful wife and I roamed back a few years ago. We took a couple years off the work trap to travel and experience some of the this great country. Turns out, it was one of the best decisions that we ever made. Shortly after coming back home, she was diagnosed with cancer and fought it like a warrior. I lost her 5 months ago. I'm reliving some of our adventures through your eyes now. Can't begin to express how much this is helping my soul. Enjoy your journey's! Looking foward to the next one.

Awesome for you guys too share. In 1971 we layed over in Big Bear CA, in the desert in a 1950 VW Bus, , there was a still that is hard too explain, , but the wolves broke that silence around midnight, and will remember that time spent in Big Bear. Its the home of Roy Rodger's and dale Evens. My Ex lived there, so had a great time seeing home of Roy Rogers, and the Hells Angles base camp. Life goes on, but not adding to my bucket list to re-visit, ,(@@)!
