In January I went to Greece with the funds that I cash stuffed for and bought whatever I desired, and I still came back with money.

I have $565 in savings since Jan 12. I have been using my envelopes faithfully and feel so good for Feb. My job has allowed 22 hrs of OT a week and I have been working them all. Haven’t had a day off in a month but this is what I need until I can get another side hustle

Yes, I have split large bills/expenses between my 2 paychecks each month. Rarely do I ever want to pay my entire rent out of 1 check. Glad to see confirmation that I'm on the right path in some of my own budgeting methods! 😊😊 Tracey from San Diego

This sounds like a great idea, not as depressing as an entire check going to a bill

I love the split method, I do it for my mortgage and car note….January went by to But I paid off a personal loan and hopefully another one by April. I also was able to save $1, 000 for my rainy day Fund.

I have been doing this for about 20yrs learned from a friend. It has been less stressful over the years...she also said if you can pay all your bills this way, that 3rd pay check 2x year should go into savings. (Biweekly paycheck) That is how I started my emergency fund. Tried and true. Secondly I have my budget on a spread sheet for the whole year and make adjustments on the payday...that has helped me know when I need to make changes for the next year. Ya know decrease eating out or using credit cards or or shop around for a better deal because the payment went up etc. Great video!❤

Ive been doing that with my bills especially my rent. Always taking a portion to set aside so it doesnt seem like a huge chunk

Hi Jazmine. Something to look into regarding your utilities is a level pay plan. We have that set up with the Gas Company and with So Cal Edison. They look at your average usage over the last year and come up with a set amount that you pay every month. You pay that same amount every month (great for budgeting) and then every year they review it and adjust the set amount for the next year. With the level pay plan, you never have those big bills that creep up (high AC in summer and high heat in winter). Just wanted to share.

I definitely use the split bill method, I get paid bi-weekly and my debt is too much to pull from one check. January was a little rough but ended with 22 NO SPEND days and paid off 1 credit card in February so im hoping it gets easier as time goes. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Loved your first 🥰💚

Split bill smooths out the bills so it's not such a bumpy financial road. Thanks for the video.

Nothing major yet, but I’ve realized I have a shopping addiction and have done pretty well on what I’ll call a low spend. Only got fast food on Sat/Sun, only bought essentials. Usually I’m paycheck to paycheck, and while we ain’t rich, I do have $250 in my account for essentials that’s usually not there 👀 but I’m trying to give myself grace because due to health issues, I was off work for 2 months and I came back working 2 days a week compared to being full-time before 😅 and I’ll be out for another month for surgery soon

This is how I budget, as well. Since my early twenties when I lived on my own. It has always worked best for me!

❤❤❤ I’m starting this February with splitting accounts too. I’m starting with opening checking for rent, car insurance and electricity. Thanks Bestise J!!! It makes lots of sense than paying one large bill with all pay check.❤😊

I did the split bill method on my car payment ~ it definitely helped mentally not seeing a huge hit at one time. Because I could pay directly to it (the loan and checking account were with the same bank), it helped cut down on the interest too. I have started applying the same concept to our property taxes and HO insurance.
