Dangers of Too Low of Heart Rate

Too high of a heart rate isn’t good. But also too low of a heart rate can potentially be bad for you as well.

Bradycardia, or a low heart rate, demands greater electrical stability in the heart.

The wider the gap between beats, the higher the risk of irregular heart rhythms.

Surprisingly, this condition is common among highly trained, fit individuals.

Their low heart rates create gaps, leading to arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation, tachycardias, PVCs, or PACs.

Recognizing and addressing these risks is vital for maintaining heart health, especially in physically active people.

Talk to any cardiologist. If you’re in good shape and metabolically healthy, low resting heart rate is not a concern.

I'm borderline obese, take BP medication and have a low heart rate (into the 40's when I sleep). I used to bicycle a lot.
