Dude this video has become my religion last couple days. Thank you so much for this. I also second Epsilon Studios comment... It would be awesome to be able to use Mixamo animations with root motion instead of having to do transforms manually... thank you for all the incredible videos Blender Secrets!!

Cool, took a bit more work to figure out combining more animations but finally did. Some tutorials can take 30 minutes to explain the same information done here in 1 minute!

I ran into a weird issue doing this, where if I didn't download WITH skin, the target armature would flip 180 on the Blender Z axis when you switched from its original animation to the new one from the armature with no skin. After much experimentation, I found that simply downloading WITH SKIN made everything work exactly as shown in the video. Thank you for this!

Where to access Blend In value? Sorry, I'm still learning the Blender and doesn't see that option in mine.

Hello Blender Secrets! This a great tutorial, and I instantly subscribed!

I tried following this tutorial myself though I unfortunately encountered one issue. Is there any possible way to do this with two non-idle mixamo animations that are going separate directions? For example, I downloaded one animation that is just a regular walk cycle, then a second animation that's taking a few steps into a left turn. The issue is that the first animation goes along the x axis, while the second animation starts walking down the y axis. Do you know how to fix this issue?

I have tried fixing this issue by creating an empty and parenting it to the armature so that I can rotate it to start the animation walking along the same axis as the other. Unfortunately when I do this and try selecting the animation in the action editor (shown at time 0:16 in this video), the armature doesn't copy the position but instead it's arms go into a weird T-pose position.

This did not work for one you have 2 animations you only showed the second one do i make an action for the first one or not when you delete the armature it deleted everything but the first part

How would you apply a custom character to this ? Ig after you’ve got the animation set? And then just shape it around the armature?

Nevermind... understood. I am novice with Blender and i dont get things too fast. Good tutorial.

Does it have to be the exact same armature now? It doesn't seem to work otherwise, but it used to.

How DO I make the Character Start Running, Jump and then Continue Running?

The problem with this is that the character goes back to the origin when the second Running starts... I'm really frustrated and Open To All Suggestions, Please...

What do you do when the new animation moves the armature to a new location?
