"It's no longer possible for the US to expect the whole World to dance to their tune"

The whole purpose of the EU was to allow Europe to assert its interests, and reduce US influence from turning European countries into colonies. Germany has the best foreign policy in Europe. It is good to see that Germany is clear-headed and acting for European interests. Germany has been the indispensable nation courted by all, and has growing ties with Russia, China and other key countries.

Germany should take the opportunity to aggressively implement a clean energy strategy aiming to rid the country of fossil fuels whatsoever. Adding to natural gas infrastructure while financing Russian aggression in Ukraine is backsliding on two different fronts.

Germany: We must have our own China policy....and that policy is to give China more economic goodies for their excellent efforts in Hong Kong, Uighur, India, Nepal crushing democratic values and human rights....not to mention their wonderful contribution of Wuhan Virus to the world..

NS2 is not important. Just additional pipeline. Europe has already more then enough pipelines for import from Russia, so one more doesn't change anything.
But relation with China is much, much more important. 100 times more.

Buden will be much less hostile to the EU than trump was. And Russia won't have an agent like they did with Trump. But he will not be a pushover.
I do not see germany being trusted as much. Their deals with China, Turkey and Russia calls for some distancing and may find trade to be somewhat reduced where the rest of the EU and India will see an increase. increase.

Americans know BETTER what is good for Germany than German themselves do!
Be grateful, Germany!

I'm torn on this. On the one hand, we must stand up to the US because of the disgusting disrespect Trump showed us, and we should not follow in the hawkish footsteps of the US.
On the other hand, healthy US-EU relations have shaped our prosperity in the last 70 years, and Biden does really want to repair relations, so I'd say we should be open for it.

The US saved Europe three times. It's time for Europe to defend itself.
