The smoking gun tape is neither smoking or a gun, in fact Nixon hardly speaks in it and it sounds like someone is explaining to him what happened… aka not a premeditated crime and shows Nixon had no real involvement in the Watergate scandal.

Nixon proved he was a better man than many who have ran for the presidency in 1960 when he had every right to contest the election results between him and Kennedy. Nixon refused to because he did not want to see the country be divided, and go through such a difficult situation.

Nixon is one of my favorite presidents, but this is some cope. Yes today this would not cause him to resign. An impeachment would go nowhere. But it was not, it was then and norms still existed. Nixon’s own paranoia caused his downfall and he didn’t even need to do it. The election was a blowout.

I am a big believer that Nixon was a great leader and had one of the best foreign policy presidents we’ve ever had. And I believe that all he did despite his problems was for the betterment of the people and country. But the second you put Tucker Carlson on this platform you lost me, and a bunch of credibility. That man is a stain on American journalism if you can even call him one. How about he goes back to supporting Russia and leave this country alone.
