Only 58. Didn't realize he was so young.
Remember seeing on tv his ashes scattered in the ocean. How a big lively man is reduced to nothing...That stuck with me... amazing voice!

"You're the First, My Last, My Everything" is one of the best songs of all time. I loved Barry White's beautiful songs and his deep, sexy voice. He was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth and spent time in prison but look how he turned himself into one of the most successful artists of all time. Barry may have died but his music will live on and on

I was in my twenties in the 70's. His records were being played all over, on juke boxes in the pubs and in discos. I love his music.

We all have our vices and Barry had his. He was lucky to make it to nearly 60 with his weight and excess smoking. Luck of the draw one might say. RIP, Mr White. Your music will be played forever.
