Eric - Trick 5 angle valve job;)
Thanks for showing the data.
Note to self
It’s going to make virtually any cylinder head better.

Pretty impressive numbers gain from a valve job.

I threw these e street heads on my stock 305 sbc they run pretty good, they woke up the motor for sure, but the only drawback I had with these were those guide plates I ended taking them off because they were a hassle to adjust other than that they run good 👍🏻

I always wondered why they come out with those heads. Seemed to be so priced out from what I remember when I used to study jegs and summit catalogs, lol. I remember I couldn’t wait till a new one came out the scan the mustang section first and then the rest to check prices and see what was new. Those were the days there 😂

The powder metal seats I got a question on them. So if you know the Dodge 5.7l hemi engines are known to drop valve seat and I was told it was powder metal but I am not sure so if those heads have power metal are they known to drop seats

I did somewhat decent back in 09 with a 383 pump gas deal i built using Performer RPM 185cc heads, they were 195cc when I finished and flowed 275in 220ex and with a 231in 238ex .550in .555ex 109lsa 106ilc, ported RPM intake
750 HP and 1-3/4 headers did 508hp at 5800 and 499tq at 4500
Ran 11.12 at 117 in a 3rd gen camaro
For what it’s worth the rpm Heads that I did for this motor had different Chambers slightly than what you’re showing with those

With the valve job and bigger valve helping that much. Could we see big gains in cfm with a valve job and LS1 valves in 706 heads that came with the smaller valves?

I did not realize Bruce Springsteen had his own head design. Possibly for use on Thunder Road ?

Does Edelbrock make a big block Mopar head with provisions for offset rockers like the W2s??

I'd say they just had lots of old castings laying around.

Edelbrock's major downfall was that none of their cylinder heads could ever compete power wise with any head on the market.

this is why edelbrock had to start saying that these were ONLY EVER meant for hydro flat tappets and you cant run them past 5500 because people were not doing that and breaking springs and the seats would get beat up.

Maybe instead of focusing on cheap heads.... Improve the Performer series to run comparable to AFR, Trick Flow, and Brodix. I wouldn't mind buying Edelbrock heads if they provided good bang for the buck. Who wants to pay $2500 for a pair of heads that produce 50 less points on the dyno than the other brands for the same money. My 2 cents

Worst combustion chamber I’ve ever seen.

a cheaper version of the old rpm head, no thanks. i had the rpm's about 1997, and they ran almost spot on the same as cast iron smog heads.

edelbrock did a better job on these than they did the big block chevy 290cc heads.

They I guess get greedy and rather put out a more inferior product these days than quality.
