A lot of people are saying Camilo is Mexican/Cuban making her a minority. Those are nationalities which is different from race. You can be white, black, indigenous, Asian, or a mixture and still be Mexican/Cuban. Racism, racial hierarchy and colorism still exists in these countries. I’m not sure how she identifies, but if she sees herself as a white Latina, she may feel that makes her in some way better than others.

I used the N slur when I was 6 years old, my mum caught me and my friend in my room saying it. My mum then sat us both down and went over why that word was wrong and the history behind it. Me and my friend are still very close we are 29 years old now and have never uttered that word ever again. It's not hard...
