@1:38 -- That is with new batteries.
In a couple of years, those aging batteries will provide, perhaps, ½ or ⅔ of the runtime, compared to when those batteries were new. So factor that in to your decision making, when deciding how much battery run time you will want or need.

Note that most outages are a split second (which is enough to crash computers). Many outages are for 1 or 2 seconds (will definitely crash computers). So even weak batteries will get you though such short outages.

A UPS's purpose is to glide though short outages, and also to give you time to gracefully shut down your equipment, rather than your equipment crashing when there is an extended power outage. A UPS is not really there to keep your equipment running for hours (although some folks line up enough batteries for just that purpose). So if you have a blackout, and your UPS's batteries mostly drained, that is the longest you should wait before doing a normal shutdown of your equipment.

One of the reasons that the CP1500PFCLCD model costs more than other 1000 watt units is because the CP1500PFCLCD outputs a pure sine wave when it runs on its batteries. There are various electrical wave forms (square wave, stepped sine wave, simulated sine wave, and sine wave). What comes out of your home's electrical outlet is a pure sine wave. Look for that in any UPS model that you might purchase, if you can budget the higher price.

Steer clear of square wave output. Your equipment might be okay with it, but you would be rolling the dice.

Another reason that the CP1500PFCLCD model is priced higher than other 1000 watt UPS units is that it includes active voltage regulation (AVR). So if your voltage happens to go a bit high, or a bit low, the CP1500PFCLCD will correct it, so that your connected equipment sees only proper voltage.

Units without active voltage regulation will immediately switch to batteries as a corrective measure. But when it has AVR, it will not need to use its batteries for minor corrections.

If the voltage becomes too out-of-spec for the CP1500PFCLCD to correct, then it will switch to its batteries. So your home's lights might stay lit, because you do not have an actual blackout, while your UPS will switch to batteries in order to feed your connected equipment cleaner power.

If you're streaming your internet goes down anyway when power goes out. Because the trunk box near your house is also pulling power off the line. So it doesn't do anything for internet even if you have your modem and router on it.

What does it mean when my input says 212 V? Nothing is plugged into the surge.
