CyberPower GX1500U Setup How to instructions

In this video we explain n easy to follow step-by-step instructions how to set up a battery backup by CyberPower. Make sure not to connect too many devices to the battery backup, especially no high-powered devices, which would draw too much current from the battery. THis could potentially damage the battery. It would also cause the battery backup to shut down when we need it the most, which would render it useless. For example, to not try to run laser printers, space heaters or vacuum cleaners off of the battery backup.

Everyone reviews this UPS but no one that I can find explains the setup menu. I would love to see it.

This UPS (and all others like it) advise against attaching *surge-protected* power strips because you should *_never_* "daisy-chain" surge protectors as they will *not* provide proper surge protection when connected this way. Connecting multiple *non-surge-protected* power strips (e.g., to accommodate odd-sized "wall warts" and other devices) is just fine as long as you do not overload the device.

When you replace the batteries look to check that the batteries are both still plugged in. The internal wires are annoying;y short. When I would slot the second battery in, the first one would get unplugged. Took me three tries to get both batteries in and plugged in.
With a battery unplugged, it will show the battery as full, but if you run a self test or unplug, it will power off immediately. Even under no load.

I bought one 4 days ago, plugged it in to charge it and connect to my Synology after it arrives.
My Synology arrived today, so I turned off the GX1500U, unplugged it, and took it to the desk with my new NAS.
Then, before plugging it in or anything - POP- followed by a plume of grey smoke coming out of it.
Needless to say, I'll be taking it back to BestBuy asap
But yeah, that's my first experience with this unit

Hello, I just bought one of these and plugged it in, it's charging now but the red 'Wiring Fault' light in the back is on. It's not very bright, and the manual says when it's "illuminated" to have your outlet checked. Does that mean there's only an issue if it gets brighter? It looks like yours is on when you have it plugged in. I've also tried multiple outlets and it looks the same. I'm guessing it's fine, but I just want to ask to be on the safe side. If you know and could tell me, it would be really helpful!

why anyone still uses 108 Wh lead acid bulk ups, when any power generator have same ups functions, more compact, lighter and better capacity and more prolonged battery life?

This is trash bought for my ps5 only last like 10 minutes of power for that price might as well buy a regular power box like a jackery
