Just picked mine up a couple of days ago. Love the redesigned remote that they upgraded last year. I had the 4K 64GB from the edition before last. It’s really nice. The setup was really easy too! Cool video!

2022 4k was much less buggy when using airplays volume controls ported quicker to AirPlay speakers while on my 2021 ATV 4K, it was laggy and still controlled the hdmi volume output even though I disable audio to the tv.

I never ever want to have all of my image chaos in the appletv. May I filter the pictures transferred to Appletv? An idea I have, would be: Setting up an album on an ipad / iphone and syncing only those pics. Is that possible?

I like using Apple Music with this, it has Dolby Atmos and being able to use my Ps4 controller with games. I had the old Apple TV with the optical port as I had older equipment, however that is not an issue as most TVs have an Optical out so I can use that instead and apps that have Dolby Atmos will have 5.1 with older AV equipment.

I’m wanting to get the Apple TV HD since I don’t have a 4K TV but I’m not sure how I can use this version since last years had the right ports for the Apple TV itself and for me to plug the right cords into the TV and in the wall.

Airplay connect was glitchy on the 2021. Volume controls didn’t port over from the hdmi monitor out to my airplay speakers. With the 2022 4K, there is no such issue

So, here are some questions: We get our TV via satellite which comes with its own box. How does Apple TV work with that? I’m guessing Apple TV bypasses the TV’s pre-installed apps in favor of its own. Is that how it works?

I ended up buying a Fire stick 4K because it was on sale. I own both previous Apple TV 4K models. I’ll buy this one eventually but I don’t see a reason to upgrade.
