The only way for Red Rooms to function through Tor is basically what supposedly happened in Italy - images being uploaded in real time.
Tor simply does not have the bandwidth to stream live video, as Lucid pointed out.

i remember my brother talking to me about red rooms when i was like 9. he's 8 years older than me. he was watching it on his phone and our parents had left us in the car to grab something from a store. i got really freaked out and what i thought of was a creepy room with red tiles all over it, and black windows. it was weird, and this video jogged my memory. that is absolutely horrible. my brother played fnaf, read creepypastas, talked about red rooms, all that stuff. he was really into it, and now he's been diagnosed with a mental health condition. my mom doesn't allow me to do any of that stuff because of him. i'm 15 now, but it still makes me question it to this day. that is really bad stuff.

Something you can take note of: Red Rooms are mostly talked about in mostly European counties. I never hear an American talk about it unless they are 12 and trying to scare their friends but European adults talk about it a lot. Also, a fun fact: most cyber-crime with deadly consequence comes from the EU mostly due to how easy it is to hide stuff if you know what you are doing. Like how a lot of drugs come from Amsterdam, or how a lot of sex slaves come from Italy, and Spain.

The people who “claim” to have been in a red room in this video are lying.

When you add elements to a website, it doesn’t automatically update on the local end, so if they were constantly uploading images for the first time to this webserver, then the USERS would have to be refreshing the website in order for them to see anything. Refreshing a website is a LOCAL action, a site administrator can’t force a website to refresh on any bodies end.

Additionally, for the same reason you can’t actually stream on Tor, there is no way a constant stream of images can be uploaded in any capacity to facilitate “live” content. Tor doesn’t have the bandwidth for that, nor the bandwidth for users to constantly refresh a website (which by the way, sends data back and forth every single time you do it - which creates lag. Too much and the site bombs out.)

So again, in short, these people are also lying about the existence of red rooms.

red rooms can't exist because ToR doesn't support the UDP protocol, nor auto load balancing, making live streaming damn near impossible (or, if you can get it working the quality would be awful).

Not even gonna lie. The fact that you can just access the dark web so easily, along with other illegal things and the like even on the surface web scares me. Like, I sometimes feel so scared to just simply go on YOUTUBE because of the fact that one wrong click, and I get flashed with all types of disturbing/illegal content.
