There should be friction acting on the boy leftwards, otherwise he will slip rightwards on the block. Please address my point.

wont acceleration be root3/2 (g+N/m) as verticle compenent of N would also act on 40kg mass

sir If you draw fbd of 40kg mass, N1 will also act on it in vertically downward direction so acceleration won't be the same?

I have cosider the vertical component of acc.in vertically downward direction for boy and got the right answer without considering pseudo force. is it write sir?
