Thank you so much. I've spent the couple of last days figuring this out by other tutorials. However, there have always been 1-2 remaining conflicts I was unable to resolve and I was close to give up. Then I saw your video and after minute 4 I talked to myself, let's just give it a try when it's obviously that simple, haha fake news. I did a dummy install just to delete it after confirming it to be as dysfunctional as my previous attempts were. Much to my surprise, I clicked on "deploy" in the stack screen and - it just worked. The first time I ran through this, I did not get any response when I tried to access using http. I stopped the stack and figured it failed because I have another package instance of MariaDB running on my Synology. I rebuilt the stack using Postgres following someone else's instructions. I hit another problem with that but realized that the process of deploying the stack takes a fair amount of time. I decided to go back to your directions and was more patient with the stack deployment and the step after creating my admin account. It appears to have worked this time. Just posting this so that others know to be patient! Thanks for your help!

What are the limitations compared to a dedicated Linux server setup?

Great Video thank you for doing it, can you write the command for updating nextcloud and mariadb ?? also, how can we apply occ command on nextcloud and command for maintenance. do we need to access ssh or what? it is not clear to me as i haven't install docker yet on my synology . I have nextcloud on unraid and there are alot of settings need to be done for remote access such as trusted domain and headers for security.

Error while trying to create admin account: An exception occurred in the driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1044] Access denied for user [...]

Any idea where that might come from ?

Question: In a newer video (7 Synology Apps), you really praise the Synology Drive feature. Curious why you might use Nextcloud instead of that, unless this video is for "You wanna use it? Here's what you do..." only, or if because it has several of the Synology apps under one umbrella.

Great Video! I'm trying to expand your docker compose to add redis for transactional file locking as suggested by the nextcloud tuning docs. Have you or any other viewers been able to get that to work? It seems like everything I try fails and google seems to be full of similar issues.

Is SSL recommended for connection outside of LAN? I'd like to use the app, but to do so I need to connect http due to lack of SSL. Is this safe to do so via tailScale? Great tutorial btw, thank you

Followed along the other day then added in my Tailscale IP to the "trusted domains", but since doing that all tailscale looks ups "Cannot write into "apps" directory." But local IP is fine :/

Any clues there at all?

I've tried almost every tutorial on youtube on that matter. No matter what I try, the mariadb / nextcloud-db-1 always ends up in a restart loop. Even if I try to install the mariadb individually. Do you have an idea what could be causing this?

Can you upload large file to the Nextcloud using this method created? I get issue every time uploading file over 2G and I don't know how to solve in the docker file.

Thanks for the video Frank... I have an issue following the installation - the Next Cloud instance has limited apps (it doesn't seem to installed the recommended apps during the installation) and I can't install the apps I want - there is no option to install them... for example Talk, calendar, tasks etc are not available... I've deleted everything and reinstalled this 3 times and still the same.... any suggestions?
