Why is there an entire industry based around making men insecure? Worst of all, people are scared to talk about it because of the money that exists. There’s a billion dollar industry revolving around man's insecurity. And their ultimate business plan is to make you feel even worse about yourself.

Influencers are paying their mortgage through this insecurity. CEOs are buying their mansions through this insecurity.

But you know what’s being forgotten amidst this wave of cash? The damage this is causing to an entire population of young men.

Having thick beautiful hair or being fit have always been innate and natural beauty standards for both men and women since ancient times. Long beautiful hair was a sign of good health and fertility for women. People want today the same things they used to want back then. Nothing is new under the sun. SOME balding men might be attractive because it looks good on them and they have other attractive traits, but the majority of balding men are not attractive and hair loss isn't helping. Just like a woman who's losing her hair for dying them too much is unattractive. Or someone who loses their teeth is a sign of bad health and considered unattractive. Beauty standards have always existed for mate selection. Corporations and social media didn't create a new trend, they're just exploiting an old one.

This video just popped up in my recommended and I couldn't agree more. This is a perfect example of how broken our system is. Anything to make a dollar regardless of negative impact on all of society. It's true, hair loss is completely out of your control so nobody should be ashamed for it. In fact, anyone who would judge you based on such a surface level quality that you have no control over isn't worth being around anyways. Great video!

As much as I'd like to knock the hair loss industry, its products helped me grow a beard, which genetically didn't run in my family.
I would agree that many hair loss products are snake oil and that sucks. But men taking care of their existing hair shouldn't be looked at as being vain/desperate.

I solved this with a nice set of clippers. I work out a lot so it doesn't matter that I don't have hair.

I had these depressing thoughts when I started balding but not anymore, the moment you stop caring about hairfall is when you will realise that it doesn't affect your daily life...just accept what it is and don't really bother about hairfall..people will say that you are balding, use this use that, but fuck them because people have to say something even if you weren't balding...body shaming these days is the trend..fuck them
