I grew up with my mom telling me not to wash my hair too much. And my dad rubbing that hair grease on my head- then smackin me in back the head when done lol. The good old days

I tried once a week man but with going to the gym and work I sweat way too much. I have to wash twice a week .

I think everyone has to figure out what works for them, their lifestyle, and their genetics. 2/3 times a week works for me.

Type 4 here🙋🏽‍♀️ ash my hair every few days and it is now easier to manage and my curls pop more than ever. Super moisturized now. I do use use jojoba oil on my roots and caster oil on my strands. This works great for me. My sebum just don’t keep my hair coated no matter how much I rub and manipulate. And a week gives to much sebum build up for me. So I started this and it works for me.

Actually, it doesn’t strip your hair of anything, after you’re done washing your hair your body already has oils to cover your hair again but if you’re going to wash your hair every day, get a gentle shampoo that’s meant for every day use but remember everyone’s hair type is different so make sure it’s good for your hair first!

Personally, I wash my hair every two weeks. I have 4c hair and it’s really the best option for me.

At this point I just believe it’s the person no matter the hair type. I’ve seen people who wash their hair every two weeks && have long gorgeous hair. However there’s also people who wash their hair daily with long gorgeous hair as well. I think people just need to find what works for them.

Lmbo! Ok tell this to Ms. Mississippi! Her afro textured hair is super thick, long, and healthy. She washes every 2-3 days and has been for YEARS.

I have locs and for those that don't know. Your hair basically is a sponge and absorbs everything (sweat, debris, left over oils). Found it best to wash once per week yeah. If you find your scalp is itchy, try to add moisture like aloe vera, rose water, hell even tap water will suffice if you don't have the funds to get something.

I am 58 years old and wash my full head of hair daily. In fact, I am on a journey to grow locs after shaving my head bold.

I wash my hair once a month and it’s something that I recommend. It sounds gross but it’s rlly not. You keep your scalp clean by going through it throughout the month with oils and things

Sebum works better when you hair is brushed down, which is why people used to drush their hair 100s to bring that oil down. So if you're not doing that, you may wanna co wash in between. Otherwise, you pours are going to clog, and your scalps gonna be irritated and hurt.
