That’s a really fantastic technique. Feels less intimidating than other NMMs.

Painting nmm and painting black are both immense challenges to me, thank you for this video, it looks great!

I like this black quite a lot. Its got great volumetrics and doesnt feel quite as busy with all the secondary reflections as some of the more chrome nmms look.

To be this reads like glossy black paint at scale, rather than a mirror or polished chrome effect. Very nice

I also really appreciate that you made a paint plan with 5 paints, but it clearly works with any 3 paints and 50/50 mixes as well, so it could be used for really interesting color shift styles or schemes like Dark Angeos that have a very specific black to green highlight. A great video

Absolutely stunning, hat off for you sir !

This is awesome and makes me feel much more confident in tackling NMM.
One thing I would like to see (in another video perhaps?) is how you would then tackle the highlight placement from the back view once your primary viewing angle is finished. It’s probably really simple, but something I struggle with for sure!

I have always been put off doing this style.
But I have always loved watching you make it look ridiculously easy 😂

But this one I have found super useful as I am doing the fantastic Horus Ascended model from Forgeworld and I wanted the Serpents Scales to really pop on this model. So I have just completed over the last 2 days the gatgantuan mission of completing his armor and man, does it pop!

Cheers Juan for another fantastic video, expertly described 👌👏👏

These are just about the exact colors I've been using for my Black Templars, but I've been using a lot of drybrushing and layering. Might actually give NMM a shot with them after seeing this!

Thanks Juan I want to use this for my Templars.

Buenas! He visto tus videos en los que se requiere zero skill y me parecen geniales, el problema es que tengo -1000 skill y cuando he intentado hacer algo similar a lo que tu haces me ha salido un desastre 😂. En fin, seguiré intentandolo.

hi juan, its me from the masterclass in tallagh, im using this video as a guide to paint my stealth suits for NNM.
clean sketch with a wide range of contrasts, stick to it and be precise with the brush work and colors

I can't say anything different from what others have said, but it is a great intro NMM technique. The step-by-step process is great. It's also very timely because I'm planning to paint a new army with black armor. I planned to do a black with blue/gray highlights, so I assume I would follow the same technique but substitute the grays with gray/blue

Hi Juan,
what Vallejo colours would you recommend as close substitutes for these ones? I happen to have mostly Vallejo, so I would rather try to use them instead of buying new ones.
I still probalby go for xpress paints, but I might try this technique too.
