This has been a long-time-coming follow up to the Deltarune "Gaster Eggs" videos! No, this video has nothing to do with Gaster. It's more of a branding thing at this point, so people know that it's a part of that same "series", and is done in the same comprehensive style.

Undertale is packed to the brim with secrets, easter eggs, alternate route dialogues and options. I did my best to share every single one that can be found in the Ruins. Please let me know if I missed anything!

Thank you all SO much for watching this!
I intend to eventually do similar videos for each area of the game. I have the Snowdin video pretty well all mapped out, but am super busy with work, and my schedule is pretty unpredictable. I had an upcoming lull at work where I planned to hammer out that video. That got delayed from late may, to mid june, to late june, to mid july, to late august!! I know I'll get it done one day, and I appreciate your patience until then.
I hope you find plenty of other content on this channel to watch and enjoy in the meantime :D

So if you flirt with toriel then ask to call her mom she'll tell everyone as a embarrassing story of you before the end scene of the pacifist route

I remember my first blind playthrough, i accidentally killed toriel thinking I had to weaken her to spare her.
I reloaded and spared her. Flowey's dialogue freaked me out that first time.

The best part of the name flavortext is that if someone named Jerry entered Jerry as their name, they just get “Jerry.” as a response.

One other thing in hard mode: When taking candy, it only lets you take 3 instead of 4; when attempting to take the 4th it says something along the lines of "In this hellish world, you can take only 3 pieces of candy."

The toys in Asriel's room are described as dusty, and in the librarby in Snowdin, it says a monster's dust is spread on their favourite things after they die. ;(

I like how after a true pacifist run, when you boot up the game again you'll have Flowey begging you to let Frisk and everyone live in peace

"Do not worry about me. Someone has to take care of these flowers" is the exact same thing Asriel says if you come back to that same spot in the epilogue of the true pacifist run. I'm sure someone already mentioned this, but it was fun noticing it so I thought I'd share.

Flowey's speech isn't synthetic like you implied. It's a heavily edited version of an old Mcdonalds commercial.

Not sure if it's been said, but in the hard mode, checking napstablook yields new text:
Napstablook- ATK 10 DEF 10
Missed the memo and is the same difficulty as normal.

I don't know if anyone pointed this out already but before Flowey corrects himself from "bullets" to "friendliness pellets" he actually looks over at the text box and frowns, I just love all the little details in this game

In the four frogs room, there is normally anoth frog that is there to tell the player how to skip text, but if you already were skipping text prior to that, he doesn’t appear, which is probably why you didn’t see him. That means that the frog in the wall is normally the elusive fourth frog. I think there might be a few other Easter eggs related to skipping text, but I can’t remember them

Something I like about the “take a piece of candy” room is that in its early design it had a sign that said “please take all” or something similar, but after you took the first piece of candy it would claim that “it’s too heavy to take another piece of candy”

huh, I just noticed the "don't you have anything better to do" line which comes back later after the end of a True Pacifist run if you go back to the very first room in the game and exhaust the dialogue options in there. that's really amusing actually.

I love the tiny interactions that change with every choice you have, it makes the characters feel like actual people rather than characters

Flowey has unique dialogue in the very first room where you meet him every time you reset, slowly getting more impatient. The battle dialogue is the same each time, though.
