iPad Pro 2018 USB-C and GoPro / DJI Mavic 2 Compatibility

In this video, I take a look at what devices are compatible with the new iPad Pro 2018. And by compatible I mean what devices can you plug directly into the iPad Pro 2018 via a USB-C Cable and transfer media. The Hero 7 Black is fully compatible and when you plug it in you are prompted to transfer your files. This is also true for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom. You can transfer all drone footage directly to the iPad Pro 2018 via USB-C Cable. All content that is shot in H.265 10 Bit DLOG-M is also now fully compatible with the iPad Pro 2018. They also now play natively in the photos app.

After I updated to iPadOS 14, I can’t import pictures from the GoPro to the iPad Pro. I’m following the video...

I hate the way iOS handles external storage, it only opens in photos app, they should open files app to handle external storages, my photos are icloud base and if i want to offload RAW pics and video footages i cant do that in photos app it will take ages to upload, i want to use files app instead

I have a 3 generation Ipad Pro and I can't connect my GoPro Hero 7 black via USB-C, my camera charges battery but the content on the iPad is not displayed.

Any idea?

THANK YOU. It was taking me forever to figure out how to connect my Black Hero 7 with my Macbook which only has USB C. I was under the impression I would be able to do this VIA wifi or Bluetooth -- similarly as to how it's done with an i-Phone.

Great video as always and thank you. I can't wait for your video if you find any noticeable difference with editing in Lumafusion on the new Ipad. That will be the deciding factor for me if I should get the new Ipad.

I just tried, using the ipad pro 11 inch 64gb wifi only and hero 6 black and Sandisk Extreme plus 64 gb micro sd card in the Gopro and it imported fine. I imported 4 clips and put them into lumafusion editted video and uploaded to youtube. All with gopro and ipad. AWESOME COMBO! and I don't know if anyone noticed but the new ipad pro and the Gopro hero black is an amazing match, the back screen of the gopro looks like the front of the new ipad!

The quick key is faster than using the cable. Unfortunately you can’t go Android phone to iPad directly USB-C to USB-C. You have to use the OTG cable.
